2008년 설립된 Note design studio는 스톡홀름에 기반을 둔 디자인 스튜디오로, 건축, 인테리어, 제품, 그래픽 디자인 및 디자인 전략 분야 등 다양한 창의적 작업이 결합된 포트폴리오를 보유하고 있다. 16명의 디자이너와 건축가가 한 팀에서 효율적으로 활동하고 있으며, 진보적이고 주목할 만한 디자인과 제품을 사람들에게 선보이고 있다. 스튜디오의 연례 전시회인 'Marginal Notes'는 장난기 넘치고 실험적인 디자인으로 국제적인 주목을 받고 있다. 2010년 첫 가구 작품을 선보인 그들의 스타일은 북유럽 디자인의 장점을 강조해, 우아한 단순함과 유머러스함, 순수한 아이덴티티가 결합되어 있다. 이후 Le Chance, Menu, Zero, Punt, Sancal 등 세계적인 브랜드와 협업하여 다채로운 작품들을 선보였다. 'Note'라는 스튜디오의 이름은 무언가를 알아차리고 주목하기 위해, 자신들이 성취하고자 하는 목표 그대로 사용하고 있다. Note는 자신들의 고유한 표현 방식을 그대로 유지하면서 오늘날 상업 시장의 요구에 맞게 적응할 수 있는 능력을 갖추고 있다. 이들에게 창의성이란 무엇이 부족한지 연구하고, 통찰의 순간을 찾기 위해 생각과 표현의 재조정을 멈추지 않는 것이다. 스튜디오의 디자이너들은 끊임없이 주변을 관찰하고 탐구하며, 자신들의 전문 분야를 전파해 다른 사람들도 동일하게 작업할 수 있게끔 통찰력을 공유한다.

Note set out to create a cycle stand that is bold enough to stand out against an urban backdrop, yet at close range, appear smaller. The broad band of metal forming Hook’s structure enables it to be seen from a distance, while its narrow width appears to streamline its shape when viewed from the side.

VINGE TABLE LAMP
Vinge 테이블 램프는 외관을 꾸미지 않은 미니멀리즘 디자인을 통해 혁신적인 램프를 완성했다. 이름 그대로 램프에는 독특한 날개가 달려있는데, 단단한 금속으로 제작된 조광기다. 날개는 자신의 축을 중심으로 회전하며 이 움직임에 따라 램프의 광도를 즉각적으로 조절할 수 있다. 사용자의 필요에 따라 자유롭게 조절이 가능한 조명은 마치 촉각으로 빛을 컨트롤하는 것 같은 기분을 느낄 수 있다.

MODULAR MAILBOX
Klarna 미래 쇼핑 연구소는 예상치 못한 미래 쇼핑에 대한 경험을 탐구한다. 프로젝트의 일환으로 Note와 협업해 프로토타입의 모듈식 사서함을 만들었다. 오늘날 디지털 세계에서 점점 더 사라져가는 우체통을 급격히 늘어나고 있는 온라인 쇼핑에 맞춰 전자 상거래, 배달, 반품 및 쇼핑 지역을 위한 플랫폼으로 새롭게 변환시켰다.

The modular mailbox idea transforms the mailbox from a static object, serving solely as a tool for receiving things, into a platform that supports circularity, new transactions and making life easier — for individuals as well as neighbourhoods and communities.

It should have high comfort but still be smaller than a regular lounge chair, to meet the increasing need of good furniture for small spaces. In the design process we focused on making a piece of furniture with a gentle look, where we tried to emphasize all the details without any overdesign.

SILO TRIO & FLOOR
곡물 사일로(큰 탑 모양의 곡식 저장고)의 고전적인 실루엣에서 영감을 받은 미니멀리즘 펜던트 조명 Silo. 화이트, 블랙, 옐로우, 그린 등 다양한 색상을 보유하고 있어 공간에 역동적인 요소를 부여한다.

CAMPFIRE SERIES FOR MITAB
Campfire는 현대인들의 작업 환경에 맞는 세련되면서도 놀랍도록 간단한 가구들의 집합체다. 두 개의 벤치, 큰 원형 벤치, 낮은 테이블, 스크린 등 6개의 조각으로 구성된 이 범위는 ‘캠프파이어’를 상상한 디자이너들의 감성적인 반응에서 영감을 얻어 탄생했다.

AREA TABLES
Area는 다른 제품과 조화롭게 어우러지는 작은 테이블 시리즈다. 두 가지 크기와 컬러풀한 색상으로 구성된 테이블은 공간에 포인트가 되어준다. 테이블 그 자체로도 아름다우며, 의자나 소파와 함께 배치해도 멋스럽게 녹아든다.

NOTE X VESTRE
In a market where a lot of outdoor furniture has a highly ‘designed’ look that stands out, we were determined to develop a more natural design language for Plinth that would fit in with its surroundings, whatever they might be, and which was timeless enough to enable Plinth to remain in place forever.

PERSIMON LAMP SERIES
감나무 열매의 생김새에서 아이디어를 얻은 Persimon 조명은 유리의 한계를 탐색한 제품이다. 내구성이 강한 얇은 유리섬유로 램프를 제작하기 위해 Note와 Fogia는 힘을 합쳤고, 마침내 행잉과 테이블 등 다양한 시리즈로 구성된 조명이 완성됐다.

Drawing on real-life research coupled with personal day-to-day experience, the Note team designed the new system to reflect the variety of ways in which individuals, families and other types of households use the bathroom space on a daily basis.

HAVEN X NOTE

Note Design Studio는 스웨덴 욕실 디자인 업체 Haven과 콜라보레이션 작업을 선보였다. 욕실 캐비닛과 서랍을 완벽하게 구현할 수 있는 수납 시스템을 개발했으며, 매우 기능적이면서도 차분한, 깊은 미적 감각을 느낄 수 있다. 일본과 스칸디나비아 디자인의 경의를 표하는 심플한 형태와 부드러운 색조는 욕실 조명과 조화롭게 어우러져 평온한 느낌을 준다.

It’s the one room of the house dedicated to wellbeing, cleansing and rejuvenation, and where we store all the tools and products associated with our grooming and wellness rituals. The feel of the room should, naturally, be quiet, orderly and calm.

DIVIDUALS X SANCAL

Dividuals 컬렉션은 각 사물들을 보완적으로 연결해 사용하는 좌석의 집합이다. 개별적으로 또는 전체적으로 각각의 제품을 사용할 수 있다. 유려하게 휘어진 곡선 좌석에 원통형 좌석을 끼워 하나의 제품을 만들수 있고, 분리했을 때는 저마다의 매력으로 존재감을 자아낸다. 22가지의 컬러를 조합해 미적이면서도 기능적인 세트를 구성할 수 있다.

REMNANT X SANCAL

고도의 기술과 복잡성은 Remnant의 주요 과제 중 하나였다. 시각적 가벼움과 단순해 보이는 외관은 상당한 양의 개발과 실험, 엔지니어링의 결과로 탄생한 것이다. Remnant는 건설적인 새로운 형태를 찾기 위한 산업적 호기심, 디자인의 우아함, 장인정신의 따뜻함, 흠잡을 데 없는 디테일이 완벽하게 융합된 작품이다.

The Napa Collection is the result of an exploration in different ways to showcase and use a rug and it allows even the walls of a space to be filled with tactility, rather than only the floor.

Focus is a textile space divider, exible to shape after your needs. The Focus table screen version creates a personal zone in public spaces. It can be easily folded and stored close by after use -perfect for activity based oce, or traveller working caring focus in the backpack.

DEZIBEL SOUND ABSORBER
Dezibel은 바닥 배치형 흡음기로, 음향 품질에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 단단하지만 우아한 나무 밑받침과 직물로 윗부분의 조형물을 만들었다. Dezibel은 혼잡한 공공장소와 사무실에서 보다 균형 잡힌 음향을 만들어내기 위해 사용되지만, 그 자체만으로도 공간에 장식적인 요소로 활용할 수 있다.

LA ISLA FOR SANCAL
스페인 가구 브랜드 Sancal은 지친 여행객들에게 약간의 위로와 안도감을 주기 위해 디자인 스튜디오 Note를 찾아왔다. 로비를 떠돌며 필사적으로 피난처를 찾고 있는 사람들에게 매력적인 곡선과 섬세한 디테일로 완성된 La Isla를 선물했다. 넉넉한 비율의 좌석과 부드러운 소재는 보이는 것 그대로 훌륭한 편안함을 자랑한다.

LANDSCAPE MODULAR LAMP
빛과 주변 환경을 변화시키는 힘은 Note에게 있어 중요한 관심사이자, 공간을 디자인할 때 가장 영향력 있는 도구 중 하나다. Landscape는 반복적인 직선의 구조로 이루어진 사무실 조명의 변화를 주고자 완만한 아치형을 프레임을 디자인해 공간적 흥미를 불러일으켰다. 가장 큰 과제는 펜던트 조명의 필요한 모든 기능을 얇은 프레임 안에 통합하는 것이었고, 재활용이 가능한 알루미늄 프레임을 개발하는 데 성공했다.

The perfect “macka” is a stone that is thin with soft rounded edges and this became our inspiration for the Macka collection.

Created by us at Note Design Studio, Musa is a lamp of organic qualities that attracts the eye due to its lighting function. A delicate and elegant design where a symbiotic interaction is established between the small hand blown opal glass-sphere and the dish that holds and reflects it.
